About Joseph Bohler
Joseph Bohler was born near Augusta. Montana in 1940. He grew up on a cattle ranch, where he was encouraged by his parents to draw and paint. He later moved to Monument, Colorado. where he has lived since 1977. A traditional painter of figures and landscapes in watercolor, pastel and oil, Bohler enjoys painting on location. Bohler is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and a member of the National Academy of Western Art. Who's Who in American Art covers this artist's career. He has won numerous awards at for his work. In April of 2000, the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma honored him with a retrospective of his work.
