A very much alive "Mickey Mouse" captured, mid run, in a bola tie! This charming work of carved inlay is so deeply sculpted, he seems three dimensional. His backward look, through abalone and jet eyes, beckons "Catch me, if you can!"
Mickey is made of jet with a pink lip shell face. His shirt is natural blue turquoise. The shorts are red mediterranean coral, as is his tongue. The gloved hands are white spiney oyster and his shoes are spotted cowery shell. What a marvelously well-planned and lovingly created piece!!
