About The Knifewing Pin with Raindrop Beads

Great little hand-crafted Zuni knifewing pin. Stone on stone inlay bezel set in beautifully executed silver pin. The design is accomplished using the four sacred stones/ colors representing the four sacred directions/ mountains--white mother -of-pearl, orange spiney oyster shell, blue gem turquoise and black jet. The edges of wings and tail are decorated with little silver "raindrop" beads--a fine finishing touch. The pin back is secured with a round head safety roller catch. The dominant color is black in the wings and body. Measuring 1 1/4" in height X 1 1/3" width from wing tip to wing tip, this striking little pin would be wonderful worn by itself or in combination with another pin like #82 from the Jewel Box Collection.
