About The Knifewing Pin

Handsome Zuni hand-crafted knifewing pin. The stone on stone inlay is bezel set in sections. Hammered twisted silver wire ornaments the edges of wings and tail like silver feathers. The entire design is accomplished using the four sacred stones/colors (white mother-of-pearl, orange spiney oyster, blue gem turquoise and jet) representing the four directions and the four sacred mountains. In this figure the dominant colors are white in the wings and tail with orange in the face and body. The pin is provided with a round head roller safety catch. This is a beautiful accent piece for a jacket lapel or collar either by itself or in combination with another pin for it measures just 1 1/3" tall X 1 1/4" from wing tip to wing tip. This striking little pin would be wonderful worn by itself or in combination with another pin from the Jewel Box Vault Collection.
