Tapering Wedge-Shaped Silver & Turquoise Bola Tie

Felix & MaryAnn Chavez

About The Tapering Wedge-Shaped Silver & Turquoise Bola Tie

Handsome wedge-shaped bola tie, a long slender "knot" made of solid sheet sterling silver, wider at the top than the bottom. The corners are carefully rounded and the sides are curved back. The edges are decoratively hand stamped to make a frame for 14 hand-cut bezel set, oval turquoise stones. The natural blue green cabochons are presented in two rows of four each at the top and two rows of three each at the bottom. Half round wire between the rows adds texture. The classic neckware statement is the clean thoughtful work of Zuni artists, Felix and MaryAnn Chavez, whose mark appears on the back. The tips are slim cones of silver birdles with hand-stamped designs and finished with a raindrop tipped round silver bead.
