Three Draped Figures

Amado Pena

About The Three Draped Figures

This most unusual treatment of three draped American Indian figures retains the sculpted faces characteristic of Pena's paintings, drawings and original prints.  The addition of weavings attached to the face of the canvas, stitched in place, yields another texture.

Both the landscape and sky are depicted with the certainty of a highly practiced artist whose distinctive style is entirely his own.
