Astride his paint pony, this Navajo gentleman proceeds through Monument Valley.

About the Artist

(Born circa 1948) This Navajo artist grew up on the Navajo reservation often tending to his family's sheep as a youngster. He attended Haskell Indian Junior School in Lawrence, Kansas, studying architectural drafting.

In 1995 Tsosie was awarded "Best of Show" at the Navajo Nation Fair, first place in watercolor at the San Juan County Festival in Farmington, New Mexico in 1998 and first place in designing the Chinle Comprehensive Publish Healthy Facility in 1999.  He is listed in Who's Who in Indian Art at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ.
