View Full Size Image of Water Web Turquoise Slab Silver Cuff, Jewelry by Navajo
Such a dramatic bracelet and so beautifully executed, but no mark for attribution to a particular artist. The design work and rendering could be Navajo or possibly Hopi.
Everthing is either rolled or drawn from ingot. The beautifully decorated side panels are thick and work hardened yet seem to float above the 5 strand tapered shank they partially cover. They closely flank but do not touch the stamp decorated frame that secures a singular, magnificent water web, natural turquoise cabuchon.
The electric sun dappled blue and the high polish of its undulating surface perfectly capture the look of a crystal clear pool, a sight to "drink in" without tiring. The soothing, hypnotic qualities of this particular cuff are priceless!
