(1900-1970) Yugoslavian painter Borislav Bagdanovich was born into a prominent Serbian family. During the 1920's and 1930's he was a member of "The Twelve" prominent painters in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and exhibited frequently in international shows throughout Europe.
Known for his bright color juxtapositions and figures, Bogdanovish moved to New York City in 1942. His son, Peter Bogdanovich went on to become one of Hollywood's best known film directors.
