Gathering Kindling with a Friend

Gilbert Atencio

About The Gathering Kindling with a Friend

A bundle of wood tired to his back, a water canteen on a strap over his shoulder and a spotted dog by his side, this man has successfully gathered a full load. His hand-formed cane is enhanced with greens tied to it. His head is shielded from the sun with additional greenery. His knife is tucked beneath the rope wrapped around the kindling.  Once again Atencio provides vivid detail coupled with sensitivity to a genre scene.
