The clasp measures 1/2" cushion shaped and is set with an oval opal cabochon, surrounded by fifteen (15) old mine cut diamonds.
The opal measures approximately 6.3 mm wide X 7.0 mm long X 2.0 mm deep and has an estimated weight of 0.60 carat. The opal has high transparency with predominantly green, blue and purple play of color. The opal is bezel set, open in back and surrounded by the diamonds.
The fifteen (15) old mine cut diamonds measure approximnately 1.6 X 1.8 mm, average 0.03 carat each, to give an estimated total diamond weight of 0.30 carat. Average estimated diamond qualities are in SI1-I2, clarities and H-I-J color grade ranges. The diamonds are all prong set around the opal.
Total weight of the necklace is 62.0 grams.
The pearls have a cream bodycolor with slight rose and greenish overtones, medium luster, slight blemishing and good matching. The pearls are strung knotted on white silk.
