View Full Size Image of 13 Stone Cuff with Twisted Wire Framing Lines, Jewelry by Navajo
This beautiful sterling silver cuff is dressed with a mosaic of bezel set natural deep blue turquoise cabochons. Carefully interspersed with silver drops, some stamped and some not, they seem to dance against their dark silver background.
This breathtaking piece bears no mark though the shape and stamp decorated carinated ingot frames are identical to pieces produced by both Navajo and Zuni's working for C.G. Wallace from the middle 1930's to post War 40's.
The collection from which this bracelet came also included the stunning Eskie Tsosie squash blossom necklace Savvy Collector is proud to offer-- giving the time frame and describing the quality of this particular gathering as a whole. Eskie Tsosie was one of C. G. Wallace's cadre of top artists offered in the November 1975 Phoenix auction. That quality is abundantly present in this stellar wrist decoration. By itself a work of art, this bracelet comes to life on its wearer--complimenting but never "stealing the show".
This is a characteristic of the very best Indian jewelry. It becomes a part of its owner and this wonderful cuff is waiting to join some special person for many more years of adventure.
Turquoise with matrix is a symbol of water and earth. "Female turquoise" is matrixed.
