This level of rain reminds me of a vacation during the wet season in Costa Rica; the rain saturated every pore of of the ground, of the sky, of my clothes and my skin.
Intense rain of this character in the city can be extremely oppressive and inescapable.

Known to have painted with oil as well as having worked in pastels, she exhibited her art between 1958 and 1965 in Portugal, in Anchorage, Alaska and in Rio de Janeiro. Pilar Blanch was included in the reference book 20th Century Portuguese Artists by Tannock.
