About The Streamlined Oblong Turquoise & Silver Ring

Beautiful blue to green water web turquoise is 100% natural. The oblong shape was artfully cut leaving some of the natural crevasses and textures of the nugget from which it came. From this piont the artist simply and elegantly framed God's work in an elegant shadow box, the depth of which is echoed in the edge of the frame all around.

The shank is sturdy and wide, counter balancing the weight of the top. This is a handsome sculptural work to be worn on the hand--and what a lucky hand that will be !!!

About Navajo

The Navajo were the first of the Native Americans of the Southwest to learn silversmithing from the Spanish. Most Navajo jewelry emphasizes silver, with turquoise stones used as an accent. Some pieces are cast in sand or tufa molds, while others are hammered, using a male stamp and a female die.
