About The Articulated Frog Mask

Ready to hang, this fellow is gleeful.  Each tooth is painted, as is every inch of his face with a triangular patterning.  His jaw opens and closes.

His face is 10" in height from the tip of his chin to the top of his jeweled crown.

About Balinese

Typically made from wood, the goal of a Bali tribal mask is to scare off evil spirits, sickness, or to prevent natural disasters such as famine, drought, and floods.

Bali is an Indonesian island located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east.  It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music.
