About The Fishing

A farm animal is being tended to by two boys, while another is fishing ahead of rushing water in a stream outside their home.  There are inverted cone-shaped buildings in the distance, just beyond a wood fence. Powerful curvilinear roots snake around a large tree trunk at viewer's right at midground.

About Min Naing Lin

Born in 1995 in the Mawker Refugee camp in Thailand, Min is from the mountains between Burma & Thailand.

When asked who taught him to paint, he responded "the teachers at the refugee camp when I was just 9 years old".

Lin Min prefers to paint landscapes, as he finds nature beautiful, giving him much pleasure.  A book titled Games Played in Mae La Refugee Camp describes Lin Min's experience in the camp, illustrated in color by Lin Min Naing. This book can be ordered through www.lulu.com.

An avid soccer player, Min came to the United States in August 2008 along with his parents and his three sisters.
