This magnificent narrative painting by Warrior was originally from the Cherokee National Museum.  This artist's subtle palette is extremely subtle and yet commanding.

About the Artist

(Born 1941) Warrior's work was exhibited at the Philbrook Art Center at the age of 17. His intention has been to illustrate the old ways of his people.

Takotokasi means Roaring Thunder. Warrior enjoys traditional dancing, sculpting and painting. 

This Sauk-Fox artist's work is cited in the standard reference reference tools written by Jeannie Snodgrass and J.J. Brody as well as Dr. Patrick Lester's Biographical Directory of Native American Painters.
