(Born 1918) Known as a master printmaker, Amen has produced many woodcuts, etchings, lithographs and serigraphs. He also creates using oil and acrylic paint as well as some sculpture.
After working from a studio in New York City for many years, Amen moved to Boca Raton, Florida in the 1990's.
His work is found is numerous art galleries as well as museums world wide include the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Often his subjects reflect a Jewish theme. Amen has taught classes in sculpture and printmaking at schools such as the Pratt Institute and at the University of Notre Dame.
