About The Artwork

Nine petals in negative design on this Cochiti bowl's interior.  Above a framing line in black is painted against the white slip. A thicker line defines the bowl's rim with a deliberate interruption serving as the bowl's spirit line.

Written in graphite underneath is the bowl's original price roughly 40 years ago, $1.75.
